This is me. This my transformation, and you’ll never guess how long it took.
The photo on the left, I was working 12-16 hours per day trying to get TFW Boston off the ground, sleeping minimally and spending hours sitting in front of a computer writing blog posts/articles.

Sounds like my life hadn’t changed much over the course of the transformation, right? How about if I told you that my diet hadn’t changed, my workouts certainly didn’t change, or even the date.
Yeah… Those pictures were taken literally 5 seconds apart. I looked miserable in the first one, and then I flexed and smiled in the second. After some very basic photo editing by my roommate, all of a sudden we have an epic transformation.
Why did I do it? A few reasons- number one is because you should never believe what you see in these advertisements for various workout DVD’s, supplements, or as-seen-on-tv products.
But most importantly, we have a skewed idea of what exactly a successful transformation looks like.
With shows like “The Biggest Loser,” and a seemingly never ending stream of “transformations” and “success stories” (most of which are total bullshit), the majority of people think that a transformation actually looks like what they see in magazines or on TV.
I’m here to dispel the bullshit.
The EXTREME weight loss on “The Biggest Loser” shows weight loss of 10+lbs per week. This sets the bar high for an average person… 10lbs in a week may be realistic for participants on the show (participants are morbidly obese, doing regular colon cleanses, and taking diuretics). Because of this extremely high standard of weight loss, when the average person works their ass off for 2 weeks and only sees a 3lb difference, it can be discouraging and lead to a ton of negative self talk.
Guess what? My clients are all f’n awesome. They earn every single pound of fat that they lose, and every bit of muscle they gain. And they deserve to be proud of it. I know that I am.
Are you not at your goal yet? That is okay! Guess what! If you want to lose 20lbs, you have to lose 1lb first… and then 2lbs… then 3lbs… Progress is progress.
Here are some REAL transformations. Not only are these guys looking sexy as hell, but they also have a newfound level of confidence that I can’t even begin to describe. I get all sorts of happiness and fuzziness just thinking about it.
Stop comparing yourself to some photoshopped professional. Compare yourself to the you who was before. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it; YOU are worth it.
