What this group IS NOT:

Realistic expectations are one of the least talked about, yet most important aspects in online coaching. If you're looking to achieve sub 10% BF, get ripped and pack on tons of muscle, this is NOT the group for you.  If you're an intermediate to experienced lifter that already spends hours in the gym each and every week - you need not apply.

This group is for the beginner to intermediate with little to no experience with dumbbells.  This group is for the busy people.  The people that don't enjoy the atmosphere of commercial gyms.  The stay at home parents.  The folks that work from home.  The people that just don't have time to fit fitness into their lifestyle.  This program is for YOU.

Just because this program focuses on at-home workouts, does not mean it is easy.  In fact, far from it. Exercise duration is short (20 mins) but intensity is high.

Yes, you're going to burn fat.  A lot of it.  Yes, you will be doing some workouts you may have never done before.  But the best part of this program isn't the unwanted pounds that disappear from your waistline, it isn't the improved sleep, mood or digestion that you will experience.  It is the education you will receive.

You will become your own metabolic detective.  You'll learn which foods make you feel great, and which one's don't.  You'll learn how to maintain a fat loss lifestyle effortlessly, indefinitely.  You will be required to think for yourself and make appropriate nutritional decisions.  But I will prepare you for, and set you up for success in this regard.

I started  my blog in Summer 2013 and started online coaching early 2014.  This is my second Fitocracy group so I'm super excited about that!  The team in my first group is killing it and I couldn't be more proud of them!

FAQs

Can I succeed in this group without dumbbells?
Unfortunately, no. DBs are the primary requirement of this group. Ideally, you would have two sets, a "lighter" and a "heavier" set. If you are a newbie, this may just be a set of 5lbs and a set of 10lbs.
I don't have a home gym or a lot of room to workout at my home.
No problem! As you'll find out, you don't need much room at all. As long as you have a set of DBs and a few feet of space all around you - you're all set!
I've never tracked my macros or counted calories - will this be a requirement?
Nope. When you sign up, you'll receive a dietary protocol designed for your individual metabolism. This will include types of foods to eat, how often, etc. As long as you're making progress each week, I won't require any food or calorie tracking. This will only be used as a troubleshooting tool if you are struggling.
Only 60 minutes total of working out each week!?
Yep. While these workouts are short in duration, they are HIGH in intensity. These will be a long 20 minutes, I promise :)
I literally have zero workout experience. How will I know how to perform the exercises given?
I'll provide you with video demonstration of all the workouts. I'll explain the exercises and teach you proper form so even with zero experience, you can (and will) succeed.
