Overview

Make a commitment to getting fit or infuse new life into your tired old workout routines using nothing but kettlebells and body weight to become a lean machine. Why kettlebells? Kettlebells are not only fun and versatile, but they double as tools to increase cardiovascular fitness as well as build strength, so you get the best of both worlds in one workout!

Would you like results like this?

Transformations like this are possible with the right approach to exercise and diet. I know because that's me. The changes didn't happen overnight but over time with hard work and dedication. With small, easy-to-manage changes, I went from an overweight, two-pack-a-day smoker to a vastly more confident, non-smoking National Physique Committee (NPC) Bikini competitor. While competing may not be one of your goals, I can help you along in your own transformation journey.

Are you ready to make those kinds of changes? If so, read on . . .

Congratulations on taking that first step toward a stronger, healthier, and happier you by exploring your personal fitness training options! With a sea of facilities and DVDs like Insanity and P90X, it can be difficult to decide what is the best workout plan to fit your needs. This is where personal trainers, or fitness consultants, come into play. With quality personal training, you get one-on-one attention from someone in the know and can discover the best workout routine to fit your current ability and future goals. Here are just a few of the benefits of having a fitness trainer like me in your self-improvement arsenal:

  • workout routines geared to your goals and abilities
  • instruction in proper exercise technique to prevent injury
  • combination of cardio and strength training using a kettlebell and body weight
  • breadth of fitness knowledge at your disposal
  • customized nutrition plan
  • tweaks to your plan based on your progress
  • learn the tools for lifetime fitness
  • get in the best shape of your life

Nowadays, personal trainers aren't just for celebrities or professional athletes. With the dawn of online coaching, you can reap all of the benefits of having an in-person training session without breaking the bank. It takes all of the guesswork out of the equation, as I keep your abilities and goals in mind, so you can focus on getting the results you desire.

I am trained in multiple kettlebell techniques and have fused the knowledge from them into my own high-intensity programming, slipping in useful - and often fun - bodyweight movements to further results. My goal is to help you toward your fitness goals while using all the tools at my disposal to encourage the changes you make to be lifelong ones.

Feel free to visit my website at elanstrong.com to learn more about my training methods and peruse the growing inventory of articles on kettlebell exercises and other fitness related matters.

FAQs

Do I need access to a gym to complete this program?
No, you do not need a gym membership to participate in the 8-Wk Kettlebell Shred. All you need is at least one kettlebell and you!
What weight of kettlebell do I need?
Women usually start with a 10- or 15-lb kettlebell while men may start with a 20- or 25-lb one. If you're unsure about the weight, test them out at the store before you purchase. Find the highest weight you can comfortably hold in one hand in an overhead lockout position for 10 seconds, and that's the weight for you! While you really only need one kettlebell to participate in the program, you may decide to invest in a heavier one as you gain strength and confidence in the various movements.
How will I know how to perform the exercises safely and correctly without having you in person?
I will provide detailed instructions on how to perform the exercises in your workouts and links to videos for proper form. You are also free to send your own video to me for critique.
How can all fitness levels be in the same program?
While each team member will have some things in common with their workouts, I will make adjustments for each person according to fitness level, injuries, and other factors where needed. This is not a cookie-cutter program, and it will be tailored to your needs.
What are your qualifications to teach this kind of kettlebell programming?
I am trained and HIKF certified in Soviet-style kettlebell methods. Also, I am an NFPT certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. My workouts combine the knowledge and experience in these three fields to help burn fat while building strength and confidence.
