Overview
Do you want to gain the building blocks for total fitness or take your workouts to a new level? Are there areas in your health you want to improve, but you aren't quite sure how to do it? If you said 'yes' to one or both of these questions, Athletic Conditioning may be the program for you!
As a participant of this program, you will follow progressive programming for a total of five workouts per week of an hour or less each. Three of these are primarily focused on strength building in the gym, one has a cardio focus and isn't restricted to the gym, and one using a fusion of yoga and Pilates can be done in the comfort of your home. Throughout the eight weeks, you will progress toward athletic movements of increasing difficulty and be led in how to experiment with these in a safe manner.
All workouts can be scaled to meet fitness ability, so Athletic Conditioning is appropriate for beginners through more advanced practitioners looking to expand an existing wheelhouse. You will learn (or revisit) proper form for Olympic lifts, traditional and new tools of the trade, and work toward greater mobility that helps with day-to-day activities and contributes to your abilities in strength and cardio conditioning. This short video outlines what happens in the first week.
Elan is known around Fitocracy for her kettlebell finesse and is the creator of the popular 8-Week Kettlebell Shred. What some don't know, however, is that she is a power yoga, indoor cycling, and Pilates instructor in addition to being a personal trainer. This makes her especially qualified to lead you in a cross-training journey, exposing you to multiple tools and techniques to spice up routines and target problem areas. The better body and health you build along the way is just a bonus!
Elan knows all about total body transformations, having achieved and maintained one herself. That's her in the picture below - July 2013 on the left and Aug 2015 on the right. She can help you achieve your own amazing transformation, too!
