So, I haven't just abandoned the gym and been ignoring Fitocracy. I went into hospital for surgery on 23 December (endometriosis again).

After experiencing severe pain and intermittent 'low grade' fever since last February - and complaining to specialists the whole time, only to be told it was 'normal' for someone with my severity of endo and scarring from previous surgery et - I finally said enough was enough. I was told I could have this surgery that was deemed 'unnecessary' on 23 December, take it or leave it. So I took it.

Turns out not only had my endo come back in massive amounts since March 2014, I had internal organs fused together again, and when they started to remove it all, they discovered an abscess that had been there so long it had been completely covered over by the endo, which had burst and was leaking septic crap into me. The source of my nearly year of fevers, and the new, non-endo pain was caused by the abscess pushing into the back of my cervix (causing intermittent cervical contractions while excercising or doing 'normal' things like sitting in a car while it went over a bump etc). So apparently it was kind of necessary surgery after all, and the first words out of the surgeon's mouth were 'Well, you were right and I was wrong'. Which is vindicating, but only in the worst possible way. Sigh.

I had a secondary infection 2 weeks ago which set me back a bit. But right now I feel better than I have in two years - more really. I just need to get over the extreme fatigue and the rest of the post op recover and I think things are going to be awesome. And despite fevers and abscesses and fused together organs and all that crap, I STILL managed to complete 26 weeks of bootcamp, increase my 3 big lifts by 10% twice (during two different bootcamps), increase overall fitness levels, lose a bunch of weight, and deal with other health issues. I'm now back on my good migraine tablets so hopefully that will be getting better too.
